Commissioned by the first annual Peckham festival, celebrating vibrant local culture and creativity, Peckham Patternscape was situated over three different shops in Rye Lane, Peckham, South East London. A series of large-scale spinning wheels, mounted on plinths made from locally sourced reclaimed material, filled the display windows. The installation spun dynamically, triggered by noise from the busy street of Peckham. The spinning wheels interfered with each other to create a colourful array of moiré patterns.
